Artur Beterbiev vs David Benavidez would only go one way, according to a man who has sparred both heavy hitters.

The boxing stars are scheduled to return to the ring on November 22 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

‘The Mexican Monster’ will face Anthony Yarde, while Beterbiev will go to war with Dean Nicholson.

And should they both emerge from their bouts unscathed, fans would love to see them fight each other.

Artur Beterbiev beats David Benavidez, according to Lionell Thompson

Lionell Thompson, who’s sparred Artur Beterbiev and David Benavidez, is confident about which of the power punchers would come out on top.

The fighter is convinced that ‘The Beast’ wouldn’t have any trouble dealing with the 28-year-old.

In an interview with Fight Hype, he said: “Listen, everybody has a chance at beating anybody when you step in there. But I’m going off the work, see me, I go on the work, I don’t go on my emotions, I go on Benavidez’s opponents and Artur’s opponents.

“Artur’s had the way tougher resume, fighting guys and knocking them out, so I’m going off of that. If you go on the resume, it’s night and day.

“I can only see David Benavidez beating Artur if he gets old overnight, but I don’t think that Benavidez brings anything to the table that Artur hasn’t seen, and I’ve been in the ring with David, I’ve been in the ring with Artur — David doesn’t punch hard enough to stop Artur.”
