Bad Blood, Trash Talk And Flurry Of Punches

Mikaela Mayer (20-2, 5 KOs) and Sandy Ryan (7-2-1, 3 KOs) will be at logger heads this Saturday 29^th March as they face each other in a rematch for the with the WBO welterweight world title on the line.

There have been quite visible differences between these two fighters, and it was quite visible in the ring when the two last met. It was an entertaining fight as none of the fighters was ready to take a punch without reciprocating and at the end of the match they were only separated by a difference of one punch.

The drama between the two has already started as they were supposed to have a face-to-face live stream which Sandy decided not to attend. This was met by a post that Makela decided to post on her X account.

“Sandy decided to not show up to our scheduled face to face on Sky Sports today. Not a very considerate (or professional) way to treat your home countries broadcasting network, but leave it to the Champ I guess,” posted Mikaela.

The last time these two met, an incident that involved red paint being doused on Ryan prior to her arrival for their first fight in New York City. She still has not gotten over it and will be seeking her revenge in the ring since her team blamed the Mayer camp for the incident. The Mayer team denied having any involvement in the incident and nothing proved otherwise.

Even though Sandy did not show up for the face-to-face stream, she eventually showed up for the pre-fight stare down. Though there was tension in the air, there was no trash talk when they were in front of each other.

Since the last fight was close, it is certainly going to be a mouthwatering contest this Saturday at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas with both fighters having something to prove.
