WBC Light Heavyweight Champion David Benavidez retained his belt by stopping Anthony Yarde in the seventh round, as you can see how the fight played out live.

Benavidez came into this fight making the first defense of his belt. Since coming to 175, he had secured victories over Oleksandr Gvozdyk and David Morrell Jr. The 28-year-old was initially the interim champion but was upgraded to the full WBC champion after Dmitry Bivol vacated the belt. For Yarde, this represented his third attempt to capture a world title. Yarde previously suffered stoppage losses to Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev in world title fights. The British knockout artist recently capped off a rivalry by defeating Lyndon Arthur in their trilogy bout, securing a 2-1 head-to-head record. However, he was no match for Benavidez.
