Best Boxing Bets – On Saturday, March 1, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) will defend his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs). The lightweight title fight will be the main event of a Prime PPV card, also available on PPV.com. Dan Rafael and TJ Rives have revealed their boxing best bets for the main event and undercard on March 1 on the Bet US Boxing show.
Looking at the Davis-Roach main event, Rafael and TJ were in agreement – and went with “Tank” by KO priced at -425. Roach and Davis were involved in two close amateur fights with “Tank” winning both bouts. This third meeting, first in the pros has many thinking Roach could test the WBA champ. Fight Freaks Unites Dan Rafael is backing Roach, to make it to the later rounds, selecting Tank/Roach over 8.5 rounds at -115.
Moving on to Jose Valenzuela vs. Gary Antuanne Russell, Rives is taking Valenzuela on the Moneyline at +100, while Dan Rafael is taking the WBA super lightweight champion to retain his title by decision at +185. Rafael, unsurprisingly is also taking the over 10.5 rounds pick at -160.
Albert Puello vs Sandor Martin will also take place on the card for the WBC super lightweight title. TJ is taking Puello by decision at +150 and the over 10.5 rounds selection at -450. Rafael is going the opposite way and taking Martin by decision at +160 and over 10.5 rounds at -450.
Whoever you back in this weekend’s best boxing bets, all eyes will be on the main event in Brooklyn as Davis defends his WBA title against Roach. However, there are plenty of other betting opportunities across the rest of the card.
