What Makes BKB Different?

It starts with the Trigon. Three sides instead of four, corners cut to 60 degrees, so a fighter who backs up runs out of room faster than he would anywhere else. The design exists to kill clinching and retreating, and the finish rate reflects it. Nine of the fights on the Los Angeles card ended before the final bell.

The roster has some duality. While it leans on recognizable names like Victor Ortiz, Lee Selby, Paulie Malignaggi, Yuriorkis Gamboa, JoJo Diaz, Alfredo Angulo, Lucas Browne, John Molina Jr. and both Vargas brothers. BKB also has its own up-and-coming fighters like Jesse Sparks and Zion Tomlinson.

The promotion also holds the Police Gazette Diamond Belt, a title whose lineage runs back to 1881.

What Is Happening With BKFC?

The problems sit above the promotion rather than inside it. Triller Group, BKFC's majority owner, was suspended and delisted from the Nasdaq at the end of December 2025 after missing required filings. A month later, Triller's audit committee concluded it had lost control of BKFC despite holding a majority stake, and moved the promotion off its consolidated books entirely, retroactive to the October 2024 acquisition.

Founder David Feldman has continued to run the business, touting a $350 million valuation last October. The $25 million World's Baddest Man tournament that grabbed headlines in 025 has hit some snags. After the initial announcement in 2025, the event was moved to a March 2026 start, it is now scheduled to begin in March 2027 on FOX Nation with McGregor as host and executive producer.

There are fighter-level complaints circulating too. Front Row Brian posted a claim from a BKFC fighter who says he has not been paid for a 2025 bout.

That said, BKFC has announced a September 26 card in Manchester featuring Darren Till vs. Yoel Romero. The success of that event could change the growing perception about BKFC.

Why Does The TikTok Deal Matter for BKB?

Because it was first, and because the numbers held up. BKB streamed the BKB 55 prelims from Cardiff on June 27 and posted the highest watch time of any live sporting event in TikTok's history, with engagement running five times what traditional boxing draws on the platform.

The receipts matter now. Most Valuable Promotions is billing Amanda Serrano's August 21 title defense as a TikTok first, and Jake Paul framed it publicly as creating a new lane. BKB had already run that lane in June.

Only, there was no one pushing its accomplishments with a platform as big as Paul.

Is BKB Actually Winning?

The answer to that question depends on who you ask and what metric you look at.

BKFC has McGregor and more followers on social, but it is tough to dismiss the moved dates and failure to develop new stars. While the fighter-pay stories are just allegations at this point, but it has been a little while since the buzz was positive.

BKB is not a perfect promotion; that concept probably doesn't exist. There are elements that could stand to be elevated. The company is still relatively new and they're actively putting people in place to close gaps. The Trigon might wind up being too gimmicky long term. They may need to introduce some signature presentation concepts that read pure BKB as soon as you see it.

As it is, BKB has at least established itself as a legit player in the bareknuckle space and on the combat sports landscape overall.
