Caleb Plant has emerged as one of the best super middleweight boxers in the world, and he wants to prove where he stands in the boxing world with a blockbuster matchup.

Plant has a 25-2 record, with losses coming against arguably two of the greatest of their generation in Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez. After getting back on track with a win last time out, the 32-year-old is hoping to put a streak together when he faces knockout artist Armando Resendiz on May 31.

Ahead of his fight later this month, Caleb Plant spoke to the media during his Las Vegas media workout. Plant was complimentary of his opponent, but insisted he has a plan to counter Resendiz's aggression.

"Resendiz is a tough competitor, and this is his moment," Plant said. "He's looking to seize his big moment, and I remember what it was like when I had my big moment, and how badly I wanted it."

"I'm expecting him to come in guns blazing. But we've got something for him."

Despite knowing he's got a dangerous man in front of him, Caleb Plant already has one eye on his next opponent

'Sweethands' is seeking blockbuster matchups, and a fight against the undefeated Jermall Charlo would undoubtedly fit that bill.

"First things first, and that's handling business on May 31. If Charlo can handle his business, or whatever happens in the co-main event, I'm looking for that winner."

"If he's able to handle business, me and Charlo can run it."

"I feel like my skills are as sharp as ever. People can see that I'm smoothing out all the edges of my game. I'm going to keep becoming a more well-rounded fighter overall."

Deep into his boxing career, Plant wants to put his setbacks behind him and still has ambitions of building his legacy in the ring.

"What I crave is to be a winner and a champion. I want to cement my legacy and show my children firsthand what it looks like to work hard at something."

"Have I fallen short a couple of times? Yeah. But, I did it with integrity and the way a warrior would do it. If you fall short, you dust yourself off and you keep going."
