Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3-0, 25 KOs) and Conor Benn (23-1-0, 14 KOs) rematch on November 15, as we preview this upcoming fight.

In their first clash, Eubank was required to drop to 160 pounds, a weight he failed to make, and also had to adhere to a 10-pound rehydration limit. While Eubank won a unanimous decision, his father, Chris Eubank Sr., expressed concerns about the dangers of the fight going ahead. However, the rematch has been made with Eubank looking to secure his second win.

Chris has teamed up with Terence Crawford’s trainer, Brian McIntyre, for a second time, just as he had done so for the Liam Smith rematch he won. Meanwhile, Benn has spoken about his desire to move back down to welterweight with a view to fighting for a world title. However, another defeat against Eubank would damage those chances, given that he has yet to beat any big names in the welterweight division.

Pre-Fight

“Here are three changes Benn must make to get his hand raised in the rematch: Set up the power shots, Benn had plenty of success against Eubank, but to get the win or knockout, we need to see more variation in his work; switch up the speed, levels, and set up those power shots behind the jab, and lots of feints.

“Benn landed some powerful shots, but often stayed in punching distance, getting caught and losing the exchange. After landing, work on the exit – slip, roll and angle out. Eubank won the first fight behind his jab; Benn needs to establish his lead hand in this fight; catch, parry, and block more of Eubank’s jabs and most importantly, execute a variety of counter punches off of that jab. If Conor can control his aggression, negate Eubank’s jab, set up his power punches… he will be well positioned to avenge his loss,” Liam Smith
