Conor Benn Will Leave No Stone Unturned As He Wants It More Than Chris Eubank

Chris Eubank Jr alongside his archrival Conor Benn will face off in a highly-publicized, long-delayed boxing contest this April.

The pair will go toe-to-toe more than three decades after their fathers Chris Sr as well as Nigel Benn squared it out in the ring to settle their perennial bitter grudge.

Benn, 28, moved his career to America for two light-middleweight victories. However, he later failed drug test and was barred by UKAD. His struggle to clear his name has spanned the intervening years. Eventually, the lifting of his ban coming last November after the National Anti-Doping Panel indicated it was "not comfortably satisfied". He had committed a doping crime.

The WBC disgracefully insinuated Benn's positive test for clomifene - known to enhance testosterone - could have been due to heavy egg consumption.

Meanwhile, former boxing champion, George Groves, in an interview with the CasinoApps said Benn needed the fight than his opponent.

“This will be the biggest fight of Conor Benn's career and it's the biggest fight of Eubank’s career in terms of the build-up and what is at stake. But when it comes to their mindset for training, it might be very different. Conor Benn will leave no stone unturned. He's working harder than he's ever worked before and Eubank isn't. He's training hard and he's taking it seriously, but he's not obsessing about it, he's not thinking about this fight day in, day out, every moment,” he said.

On the other hand, after retaliating the first stoppage defeat of his career, Eubank Jr thrashed Liam Smith in a high profile 2023 match. He only fought once last year when he stopped Kamil Szeremeta in Riyadh, with Benn provoking his opponent before and after that fight.

Last month, during their launch press conference, Eubank Jr slapped Conor Benn, breaking an egg on his face. That occurrence saw the British Boxing Board of Control slap Eubank with a £100,000 fine.
