Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) has been the man for a long time. Nobody has solved his riddle yet. Daniel DuBois (22-2, 21 KOs) was the closest one to doing so when he knocked him down what was called a low blow but in all reality it was actually a clean punch which should have resulted in a knockout victory by Daniel DuBois. He is looking to get redemption and to be able to be the first person to actually solve that riddle and give the Ukrainian his first loss of his professional career.

Time for redemption

July 20th at Wembley could be the moment Dubois rewrites his story or it could be yet another chapter in Usyk’s masterclass of domination. Either way, the undisputed heavyweight championship is in very capable hands.

“Right now, I just want to get it on,” Dubois said at Thursday’s press conference. “I’m going to write my own script now. They’ve got their own script. I’m going to write my own script. I’m going to win these belts and I’m going to be the man.”

Daniel Dubois has the right attitude going into this fight. He understands that in order to not only obtain redemption this time around. But it will be very important to look dominant in the process as well, to leave no doubt. Clearly the change of events went against him as the champion was able to regain his composure for five minutes to recover due to the quote-unquote low blow. So this time around, Daniel Dubois wants to take everything out of the judge’s hands and leave no doubt this time around.
