Darren Till faces Luke Rockhold at Misfits Boxing 22 on August 30, as we preview this upcoming fight.
Till has managed to forge a career for himself since crossing over into boxing. He has racked up two consecutive wins, beating Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart respectively. Till has spoken about his desire to eventually return to the UFC, but for now, he has unfinished business in the boxing ring.
Meanwhile, Luke Rockhold, a former UFC Middleweight Champion, makes his Misfits debut. Rockhold is not in the best form, having been stopped in the first round at BKFC 41 against Mike Perry in 2023. Since then, he did have a win at Karate Combat 45 against Joe Schilling.
“Luke can’t take what Darren could take. I know this because all my coaches and everyone I’ve sparred around the gym knows how hard I hit with these gloves on. “They were all asking ‘how did that man take that?’ Boulder head. I mean, to be honest my hand is still broken from the fight. That says everything about what is in that man’s head because I knock people out for fun and I couldn’t knock him out,” Till said
“His last fights were much above weight, and he’s just obviously scared and trying to take weight away to make things harder [for me]. Make himself up, try to say I’m slower, try to say I’m chinny. I guarantee you I’m faster than you. I hit harder than you, I move better than you and I’ve got a bigger set of balls,” Rockhold stated
