On Saturday, November 22, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, David Benavidez vs Anthony Yarde headlines a stacked Ring IV card. The main event will be for Benavidez’s WBC and WBA “regular” light heavyweight title.
Ahead of this intriguing main event, Benavidez spoke to The Stomping Ground and sent a warning to the Brit for November 22.
Looking ahead to his fight with Yarde, Benavidez expressed confidence he will have too much for the Brit:
“He has never been hit by somebody with the speed like me. He’s never been in there with somebody with the IQ like me.
“I do everything better than a lot of fighters at this weight class. It’s funny because people, I tell them that over and over, and they don’t believe it until I get into the ring with them. For me, the thing is, he can hit harder than anybody that I’ve been in there with, but that doesn’t scare me.
“If anything, that’s going to give me the charge to go in there and try to knock him out more. I don’t get scared of none of this stuff no more. I’ve been professional 13 years. I’ve been boxing 25 years. I’ve been sparring world champions since I was 14 years old. This stuff does not scare me. If anything, it energises me more to go even harder.”
