Desley Robinson defends middleweight titles against Thibeault

Unified women's middleweight champion Desley Robinson will defend her WBO and IBF belts against Tamm Thibeault on Aug. 8.

The title bout was added to the MVPW-05 card as the co-main event, ESPN reports. Robinson holds two of the four major middleweight straps and has not fought since claiming the IBF version last year.

Robinson's path to unified champion

Thibeault enters the bout as a contender looking to dethrone Robinson in what will be the biggest fight of her professional career. The Canadian has yet to face an opponent of Robinson's caliber on the world stage.

MVPW-05 takes place Aug. 8. The main event and venue have not been announced.
