Did PBC Put Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis Put On The Shelf?

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis (30-0-1) is not in the best mental condition to be fighting anyone right now. There has been rumors about him retiring. Rumors that have not been confirmed or denied by Davis, but as of right now, they will remain as rumors. But after his recent arrest and the fight not even being officially signed with Lamont Roach, it’s one of those scenarios where we don’t really know what’s going on.

But what we do know is that since their first matchup ended up in a draw, both fighters have a lot to prove. For the fight to not be official and signed for at this point, how on earth is this fight going to happen during the scheduled date that it had for August 16th? At this point, it’s absolutely not happening right now. It makes you wonder, what type of mental condition is Davis in right now?

Uncomfortable silence

It is uncomfortably silent from Premier Boxing Champions (PBC). Never have I witnessed such a big fight seem to be completely vacated after a series of events. Tank Davis is one of the biggest names in boxing. He sells out arenas throughout the country. With him being PBC’s biggest fighter, one has to wonder what is really going on behind the scenes. Have they silently put him on the shelf and we don’t know it? Or are they truly scrambling to try to make this fight happen in a timely manner? At this point, we will find out sooner or later. But right now, we are all kind of in the twilight zone.
