Dubois Can Hurt Usyk, It’s His Big Chance!

Daniel Dubois’ rematch with Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk is less than a month away. The pair first contested back in August 2023.

Dubois put Usyk with a shot that was ruled low. He was accorded time to recover, and he proceeded to stop the Briton in the ninth round.

However, as things stand now, Dubois is in red-hot form. He has had a series of wins in the recent past. He beat Anthony Joshua, Filip Hrgovic, as well as Jarrell Miller. The 27-year-old fighter believes he will soon be crowned the new globe No. 1.

The Londoner is targeting to emulate Lennox Lewis by becoming a British undisputed global heavyweight icon.

Dubois got the backing of former world champion George Groves.

“At some point, someone's going to get Usyk. If he carries on boxing, someone will get him. And maybe it'll be Daniel Dubois. He has a lot more chance than the first time they boxed. Dubois is in good form; he's feeling good. The link-up with Don Charles has been incredible. Don Charles has just nurtured the best out of Daniel Dubois, got the best out of him. He can hurt Usyk to the body. Easier said than done, though,” said Groves in a recent interview with CasinoBeats.

Elsewhere, Usyk will be defending his WBC, WBO, and WBA world heavyweight titles against IBF champion Dubois. However, beating him would be a monumental accomplishment. He remains the most coveted boxer of all time. The dazzling Ukrainian is an Olympic gold medallist who has at no time lost a professional bout. He has already obtained a place in the pantheon of boxing as a sport.
