Edgar Berlanga Clowns Oscar De La Hoya

At the final press conference on Thursday leading up to the Edgar Berlanga vs Hamzah Sheeraz fight. Edgar Berlanga seemed to be on ten the moment that he stepped into the press conference. He was really amped up from the start, and apparently today he chose violence. Things got very interesting when he started to go at promoter Oscar De La Hoya, making fun of him on his infamous lingerie and wig incident years ago. Berlanga took trash talk to a new level when he pulled out what appeared to be pink lingerie and threw it at De La Hoya. Following up with throwing a wig and money at him, taunting the Hall of Famer and Golden Boy Promotions founder in front of a packed media audience. Escalating an already heated exchange between the two.

“You have no world titles,” De La Hoya shouted. “This guy is not even Puerto Rican. Where’s your Puerto Rican passport?”

“You’re my stripper. “F*** you. “F*** you stripper. You couldn’t even afford me,” Berlanga continuously shouted at De La Hoya.

Things appeared to calm down as Berlanga had sat down, but De La Hoya challenged Berlanga off the comments he made towards the promoter the previous day.

“You said you’re gonna slap me?”. De La Hoya said while egging Berlanga on. “C’mon.”

Berlanga needs to impress

Talk about theatrics as Berlanga is really trying to sell the tough confident fighter. He should be looking for a knockout if we wants to make the same statement that his mouth is trying to make for him leading up to this fight. Talk is cheap and he’ll get to prove if he’s the real deal on Saturday.
