One of boxing’s educators, when it comes to the business of it, Adrian Clark, CEO of Fighters First Management, has announced the launch of a brand new, first of its kind, Boxing Manager Certificate Course.
The announcement came on Tuesday afternoon through a press release that this new course has launched and is available at boxing-manager-certificate.teachable.com for a cost of $300. Clark has been in the boxing business for over a decade. He has released a slew of books and film projects all geared towards educating fighters and those in the boxing business so that they can avoid some of the mistakes he’s seen people in those same positions make throughout his years of experience.
“For the last five years, my focal point has been to implement educational programs in the boxing business,” said Clark. “This course helps to develop boxing managers and further protects fighters from being taken advantage of contractually and/or financially. The more the manager knows, the better for all parties involved in this business.”
The following excerpt is from the press release regarding what to expect with the Boxing Manager Certificate Course.
“The 46-minute online course features 15 informative videos, accompanied by multiple choice quizzes after each chapter, with chapters providing information on core tenets of boxing management including: Boxer-Manager Agreements, Managerial Percentage, Promoter Relationships, Negotiations, and much more.”
With all that Clark has been involved in, he also partnered with Alexander Deacon for a “Boxing Manager” app that is a video game, which puts you in the hot seat as the manager for a fighter, providing you with an understanding of the complexities that come with such a responsibility. Clark has dropped short vignettes on social media promoting the app, which has received rave reviews.
Clark is well-known amongst hardcore and casual fans. Although he was recently given a ton of flak for breaking down an offer to his WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr., it was the first time that such a thing was discussed publicly, giving fans a clear perspective on what goes into these offers. The trolls on social media will never be happy and will likely never admit that it was great education that added to their knowledge of the sport. Clark continues to educate and look out for the welfare of fighters, and this latest venture will add to his legacy of doing just that.
