On November 29, at Vaillant Live in Derby, Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV (8-2, 5 KOs) headlines the first Boxxer Promotions show on the BBC.

This heavyweight main event will be for the vacant British heavyweight title, vacated by David Adeleye, who decided to pursue a bout with Filip Hrgovic instead of a rematch with TKV.

Ahead of this British title fight, we take a look at the odds, which favour Clarke, and assess whether TKV can cause the upset.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV – British heavyweight title preview

This first headline event for Boxxer on the BBC was scheduled for October 25, before TKV suffered an injury in training, causing the fight to be postponed.

This heavyweight showdown will be shown on BBC TWO and iPlayer. It’s a massive fight for both, with the winner moving on to potential fringe world title bouts.

Reflecting on the postponement at the time, Boxxer founder and CEO Ben Shalom said:

“I’ve spoken to both fighters and of course they’re disappointed but it means there’s an extra edge to the fight on November 29. Frazer feels he’s ready to win right now and is frustrated at having to completely change his training plan. Jeamie will be desperate to prove he’s fighting fit and capable of beating Frazer. They have been quite respectful of each other up to now, but it feels like that’s changing as emotions are running high on both sides.”

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV – betting odds

All bookies appear to have Clarke (9-1-1, 7 KOs) as the clear favourite for this all-British clash, with many British bookies pricing the 2020 Olympic bronze medallist as a heavy 2/9 favourite.

American bookies also have Clarke as the favourite, with him priced as the -425 favourite. It’s difficult to see the odds changing too much in between now and fight night, with it expected that Clarke will make his way to the ring as the clear favourite on fight night. Many will look at sites such as free UFC picks for further insights before placing their bets.

Clarke vs TKV analysis

Frazer Clarke’s boxing strengths include a good variety of punches, solid technical skills, and a strong amateur background with Olympic and Commonwealth Games medals. He also possesses a significant weight advantage in heavyweight bouts and a ferocious determination, as shown in his rematch with Fabio Wardley.

TKV’s unbeaten pro record was blown apart in his sixth fight, when he was knocked out by the big-punching Brazilian Igor Adiel Macedo.

Three wins followed before he faced Adeleye. TKV was in the fight and showed what an awkward opponent he is, as he controlled the tempo well and picked his shots with precision, appearing to frustrate Adeleye. Controversy ensued when the referee called break and pulled TKV’s hand down before Adeleye landed a peach of a left hook, knocking TKV down.

The referee began to count, much to the dismay of the Boxxer-promoted fighter. TKV was understandably on shaky legs and just made the count before Adeleye pounced and forced the stoppage.

If TKV can implement the tactics he did against Adeleye, he could frustrate Clarke and pull off the underdog win. The 2020 Olympic medallist will be eager to pick up the British title and move on to bigger fights.
