Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, and Teofimo Lopez made the Grand Arrivals ahead of their May 2 card.
Garcia headlines against Romero in his first boxing fight after his no-contest against Haney. Ryan’s victory was overturned after he failed VADA tests for Ostarine, as he received a year ban. Garcia will fancy himself to defeat Romero as the Haney rematch is potentially on offer if he comes out with a win. Garcia appeared relaxed at the Grand Arrivals, dancing in front of Romero, who simply stood whilst staring him down.

Romero knows what it is like to fight on the biggest stage. He is the former WBA Junior Welterweight Champion. While he lost his belt against Isaac Cruz, Rolly has headlined big events as he faced off against Gervonta Davis at lightweight. Romero bounced back from his Cruz loss with a win against Manuel Jaimes.
Elsewhere, Haney boxes on this card against Jose Ramirez. Devin makes his debut at welterweight as he attempts to win a title in a third weight class. Devin has been critical of Garcia, stating that he had an unfair advantage due to PED usage. Haney has plenty of reasons to come out with a win, as he will want to avenge that Garcia performance. Ryan dropped him three times, utilizing his left hook, which was criticized for being his only weapon. During the face, the pair were trading verbals.

Meanwhile, Teofimo Lopez defends his WBO Junior Welterweight Title against Arnold Barboza Jr. The Takeover defeated Steve Claggett in his last fight by a unanimous decision. Since then, he has added Canelo Alvarez’s trainer, Eddie Reynoso. However, Reynoso will not be present for this fight as he prepares Canelo for his William Scull fight a day after. During the initial kickoff presser, Lopez slapped Barboza. Lopez did not hang around for the face-off.
