The Gervonta “Tank” Davis show heads to NY as one of boxing’s biggest stars headlines an event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) will be defending his WBA lightweight title against the current WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs), who is moving up in weight for the opportunity of a lifetime against Tank. The show will stream live on Prime Video PPV as well as PPV.com, with prelims streaming live on the Premier Boxing Champions YouTube page two hours before the start of the PPV.
According to Davis, this year will be his last, so expect the Barclays Center to be filled to capacity as fans look to catch one last glimpse of the 30-year-old Davis, who has been built up to be a star. Roach has not been as active as he should’ve leading up to a big fight with Davis, but he is riding on a huge confidence wave from winning the world title in November 2023. With a bitter rivalry that dates back to the days of the amateurs, Davis vs. Roach should be a good fight for as long as it lasts.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Gervonta Davis is the favorite at -1400, and Lamont Roach is the underdog at +800.
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
