Jai Opetaia vs. Claudio Squeo Title Fight Postponed to June 8

Gold Coast, Australia – April 5, 2025 – In a statement issued today, it was announced that the much-anticipated IBF and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight World Title defense between Jai Opetaia and Claudio Squeo, originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, will now take place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. The delay comes following a minor injury sustained by Opetaia during training, which requires additional time for recovery.

Jai’s Manager and promoter of Tasman Fighters Mick Francis commented, “Being the animal that Jai is in the ring, he takes no opponent lightly.
