Jake Paul is one of the most controversial fighters in boxing. After beginning in the YouTube boxing scene on the undercard of the first KSI vs Logan Paul bout against KSI's brother Deji, Jake Paul has become a full-time boxer, with his most recent bout a win against Mike Tyson on Netflix in November.
Paul is 11-1 with seven knockouts in his career and almost had the chance to fight Canelo Alvarez as it was expected to be announced in February. However, after being offered more money by Turki Alalshikh of Saudi Arabia, Alvarez declined Paul's offer.
After the negotiations, Paul has yet to announce another fight, but he seems confident. On the most recent episode of his BS w/ Jake Paul podcast, he called out a former world heavyweight champion.
"I want to fight Anthony Joshua," Paul said, adding, "because I know that I will (expletive) beat Anthony Joshua's (expletive)." The former YouTuber then explained why he claimed he would win the bout.
"He doesn’t have a chin, has no skill, and he’s stiff,” Paul said before claiming that he and Joshua are friends. Joshua hasn't responded to the call-out, but things may not be so friendly between them after this.
Joshua's last fight was in September. He was knocked down four times and lost to Daniel Dubois. He has held the unified world heavyweight title twice in his career, the latest between December 2019 and September 2021.
Joshua's career record is 28-4 with 25 knockouts and he would represent a tough challenge for Jake Paul if the fight were to take place.
