After teasing on social media that plans would now start being implemented, Jake Paul has hired Elon Musk's former attorney to help him deal with the critics' fixed-fight allegations.

Throughout his rise to fame in the boxing ring, 'The Problem Child' has been forced to battle against fight-fixing allegations that his name has been attached to. During his short career, the social media influencer has beaten some of the most beloved fighters of all time, with Mike Tyson, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz being just a handful of his victims.

Despite his troll personality, Jake Paul has had enough of critics alleging that his fights are fake and has decided to take action.

"After years of letting it slide as just 'haters being haters,' I have asked my team to vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies about my boxing career," Paul posted over a month ago.

Now, that promise has been realized after Jake Paul hired renowned attorney Alex Spiro to his team.

Speaking about being sought after by Paul, Spiro confirmed that consequences will fall upon anybody who publicly shames the athlete with false accusations.

"I've been retained by Mr. Paul to pursue legal redress for the damages he has suffered. If someone uses their public soapbox to harm him and the sport with lies, there will be consequences." [h/t Fox News]

Paul's company, Most Valuable Promotions, also commented on the change in legal approach for the 28-year-old's team.

"The statements are categorically false and damaging to Mr. Paul, his partners, and the sport at large. Jake's reputation and value as an athlete will be protected with the full force of the law."

Confident in his ability to perform between the ropes, Jake Paul decided to boost his legal team amid links to a potential fight with Anthony Joshua.

Paul is now eligible to fight for a unified world title, but instead has his eyes on a blockbuster affair against former WBA, IBF, and WBO world champion Joshua.
