Jake Paul Hints At 'Big Announcement' Coming In January: 'Boxing'

Jake Paul is set to make a major boxing-related announcement in January, the YouTuber posted on his X social network account on Thursday.

The 27-year-old shared the cryptic news, writing, “Big announcement in January. Boxing.”

This announcement comes hot on the heels of Paul’s unanimous decision win over boxing legend Mike Tyson in November. The fight, held at AT&T Stadium, was highly polarizing due to the 31-year age gap between the two competitors.

While some criticized the bout, others, including UFC commentator Joe Rogan, applauded Tyson for making it through the match unscathed.

“I’m glad he got to that fight and didn’t get hurt,” Rogan said on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. “I was hoping he would knock Jake Paul out just because that’s the Cinderella story.”

Paul now holds an 11–1 record with seven knockouts, his victories including wins over MMA stars like Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley. However, questions about his next opponent linger with no identified foe as Paul has yet to confirm his plans.

The ongoing speculation about Paul’s connection to his brother Logan’s rumored fight against Conor McGregor adds to the intrigue.

McGregor recently announced preliminary talks for a boxing match against Logan Paul in India, and Jake Paul didn’t hesitate to weigh in.

Jake called McGregor “washed,” Jake predicted an easy win for his brother while dismissing his own potential fight with the Irishman unless UFC President Dana White approved.

Jake's announcement could coincide with UFC president Dana White's own one, as he addressing the media members present at UFC Tampa last weekend and hint a massive announcement is on the horizon.

“I’ve got something in the works right now that’ll drive you (expletive) crazy,” White said. “All you guys will be running around.

“I got something in the works that you will never (expletive) see coming for 2025. It literally started to come together last night.”
