Cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul have made waves in the world of boxing since they both began fighting in 2018, with each YouTube star becoming lightning rods for controversy while showcasing their considerable talents in the ring.

This past Saturday, Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez by unanimous decision (99-91, 97-93, 98-92) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, improving his professional boxing record to 12-1 with seven knockouts.

On Tuesday, Paul's latest WBA (World Boxing Association) ranking was revealed, inspiring hope for a potential championship run that would ultimately rank as one of the most unexpected in professional sports history.

Paul checked in at number 14 in this week's WBA Cruiserweight Rankings, making him eligible to challenge champion Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez for the world title.

The Cleveland, Ohio born Jake Paul is now ranked one spot behind American cruiserweight Craig Parker, who is 20-0 for his career with 20 knockouts.

Paul said recently that he has entered talks with an eye on a potential fight against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who lost his last fight to Daniel Dubois via TKO in September 2024.

Joshua defeated former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou by TKO with an overhand right punch in March 2024 and would be Paul's most established boxing opponent to date if the fight ends up coming to fruition.

Paul has previously stated that he would like to make a championship run in 2026 and has now put himself in position to do just that.
