Jake Paul has been a prominent name in boxing over the last couple of years as his unorthodox journey has brought him stardom.

In his latest outing, Paul improved his professional boxing record to 12-1, with a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Since then, Paul has called out a wide variety of opponents, ranging from Gervonta Davis to Anthony Joshua.

Although the Joshua fight is seemingly a possibility for Paul, Oleksandr Usyk was also in ‘The Problem Child’s’ eye line at the weekend. Despite Paul causing a stir among the boxing community, one fighter has given praise to the internet star.

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till gives praise to Jake Paul

Over the years, Paul has been subject to criticism due to his choice of opponents and path through the sport.

Despite the mixed reception, Paul has found himself to be a headliner, with some of the sport’s top names interested in facing him.

One fighter who has had his name associated with Paul is former UFC star Darren Till. Since his departure from the MMA organization, Till has competed under the Misfits Boxing banner.

Till was mentioned by many as a potential opponent for Paul, as the former UFC star has won two Misfits Boxing matches in 2025.

A bout between the fighter from Liverpool now seems unlikely. However, Till has spoken positively on the internet star in a recent interview.

In a recent interview with The Stomping Ground, Till was asked if he respects Paul, in relation to his recent actions regarding Joshua and Usyk.

Till replied, “Yeah [I respect him]. Jake Paul’s got everyone absolutely eating out of the palm of his hand.

“Everyone’s getting so mad… He’s a ——- —-house that man. But he’s top dollar. I’d love to have a press conference with him.”

Darren Till was scheduled to fight former Jake Paul opponent Tommy Fury in 2025

At the beginning of 2025, it seemed as if Paul and Till would have a mutual opponent. Scheduled to fight the only man to beat Paul, Tommy Fury, Till had his fight canceled prior to the bout.

The pair were supposed to fight at a Misfits Boxing event in January, before Fury withdrew himself from the bout.

Tyson Fury’s brother supposedly withdrew from the bout due to a threat of a head kick from Till, whose background is in MMA.

Had Till had fought and defeated Fury, then a fight with Paul would have been more likely. However, the pair have seemingly gone down different paths.
