On November 14, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis will headline a Most Valuable Promotions card live on Netflix in a 10-round exhibition bout.
The showdown has attracted plenty of criticism, but their two-city press tour has wrapped up, where the rules and undercard were revealed.
Jake Paul has spoken to Fight Hub TV about his sparring plans for the exhibition and the star-studded names set to help him prepare.
Revealing the list of fighters coming in to help him prepare for “Tank” Davis, Paul said:
“In terms of sparring, we got some great guys coming in. Some really experienced southpaws that are smaller.
“I think Montana Love is coming in. Shakur Stevenson wants to come in, Jamaine Ortiz. We’re gonna hit up Erickson Lubin, some of these guys. So we’re just gonna bring in a plethora of fighters that are fast, quick, shifty southpaws.”
At the recent New York press conference, the rules for this exhibition were revealed by MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian:
Bidarian explained to the press:
“There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed, and the commission has approved,” revealed Bidarian when speaking to the press in attendance.
“[There will be] a maximum weight of 195 pounds for this exhibition. The fight will be contested over 10 three-minute rounds, and when Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.
