When Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis meet in Miami on Nov. 14, the spectacle will hardly resemble the typical environment Davis has thrived in. The bout, streamed globally on Netflix from the Kaseya Center, carries a unique rule set that highlights the massive differences between the two men.
Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian confirmed the bout’s conditions during Monday’s New York press conference:
Rounds: 10

The bout almost never happened in Atlanta, with the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission refusing to sanction it due to the drastic weight difference. That forced the relocation to Miami, where the fight will move forward under this special agreement.
Jake Paul: 6-foot-1, recently fought at 199.5 pounds
Gervonta Davis: 5-foot-5, weighed 133.75 pounds in his March fight with Lamont Roach Jr.
That 65-pound swing between their recent fight weights is nearly unheard of in modern boxing.
For Davis, the glove size could be just as significant as the weight disparity. The WBA lightweight champion typically competes in 8-ounce gloves at 135 pounds. Here, he’ll be forced into 12-ounce gloves, which dull punching power and slow hand speed.
Paul, on the other hand, is accustomed to heavier gloves. He has competed in 10-ounce gloves throughout most of his career, and even wore 14-ounce gloves in last November’s exhibition against Mike Tyson.
On paper, Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) is the far more accomplished fighter, with world titles and highlight-reel knockouts across multiple venues. But Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), the YouTuber-turned-boxer, brings size, strength, and a knack for unconventional matchmaking that continues to blur boxing’s boundaries.
Their first faceoff Monday in New York only underscored the stark contrast: Davis looked up at his much larger foe, while Paul loomed with the confidence of a man fighting under far more favorable conditions.
While the fight remains controversial, it’s also undeniable entertainment. Netflix’s global platform ensures millions will tune in, eager to see whether Davis’ skill can overcome Paul’s physical advantages or if Paul scores the kind of win that would shake the sport’s foundation.
