On the hunt for an end-of-year return to the ring, Jake Paul has been branded too “greedy” in his bid to score a grudge match with an arch-rival.
Initially scheduled to fight this weekend in Florida, the outspoken Jake Paul saw an exhibition bout with current WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis cancelled at the final hour.
And receiving callouts aplenty ahead of a planned December outing, the Ohio native has been tied to a whole host of fights, including a rematch with Mike Tyson next.
However, the boxing upstart has been branded gluttonous to secure a rematch bout against a star with whom he shares a notable history.
As well as a host of boxing stars welcoming the chance to face Paul before the turn of the year, former foe Tommy Fury has also been linked with an impromptu rematch.
However, according to the former reality television star, Paul and his team are demanding too much to secure a December clash on short notice, effectively scuppering his chance to avenge his only professional boxing loss.
“It should have happened six months ago,” John Fury said of a rematch between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury on Instagram. “We’ve been trying to put this together now for nearly a year. But unfortunately, they’re the ones thats putting the brakes on things by being greedy.

“…I’ve given them a number, it’s a yay or a nay thing,” Fury explained. “Either take it or leave it. But it’s not us who’s putting a delay on it, it’s them.”
Handing the influencer his sole professional loss, Fury has been linked to a rematch with Paul ever since their 2023 grudge match in the Middle East.
Making his name in the sport of boxing with a host of clashes against many former UFC stars, Paul has now set sights on a clash with a current titleholder.
Already ruling out a pairing with long-time nemesis Conor McGregor, the polarizing Ohio native has welcomed the chance to share the ring with a knockout king before too long, however.
