The anticipated exhibition bout between Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis, originally scheduled for November 14 at Miami’s Kaseya Center. Has been officially canceled, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced Monday night.

“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” said Nakisa Bidarian, MVP CEO. “While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025. Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized.”

The statement also thanked Netflix, the Kaseya Center, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for their cooperation.

The Allegations

The cancelation comes four days after Courtney Rossel, Davis’ ex-girlfriend, filed a civil lawsuit in Miami-Dade County, accusing him of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Rossel alleges Davis forcibly removed her from Tootsie’s Cabaret, where she worked as a VIP cocktail server, on October 28, then dragged her through a back exit to a parking garage, where he allegedly assaulted her. The lawsuit also cites multiple previous instances of abuse during their five-month relationship.

This case comes just two months after the mother of Davis’ two children dropped a separate domestic violence case in August.

MVP Moves On

MVP stated Saturday that they had initiated an internal investigation into the allegations. By Monday, the company cut ties with Davis, citing a commitment to handling the matter with integrity.

Before the cancelation, The Ring’s Mike Coppinger reported that MVP was exploring potential replacement opponents for Paul — including Andre Ward, Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz, Ryan Garcia, and Terence Crawford though no matchups have been finalized.

What’s Next for Jake Paul

Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) remains set to headline another Netflix boxing event in 2025, continuing his streaming partnership following the success of previous cards such as Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano III, and Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul (postponed earlier this year).

Bottom Line

With the Davis fight scrapped amid serious allegations. Jake Paul’s next opponent and timeline remain open, but MVP’s commitment to returning to Netflix signals that the YouTube-star-turned-fighter will still close the year in a marquee slot just against a very different foe.
