Jake Paul Secures Upset Win Over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Jake Paul beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via a unanimous decision to secure his biggest win, as you can follow what happened with round-by-round updates.

Paul entered the fight on a five-fight win streak. Wins over Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, Mike Perry and Mike Tyson were the perfect response to his sole loss against Tommy Fury. However, Paul received criticism from the Tyson fight, as he faced a 56-year-old. Paul also had to shut down claims that his unanimous decision win over Tyson was rigged. Paul knew a win tool him closer to a title shot, with Zurdo Ramirez or Badou Jack as potential opponents.

Chavez Jr. faced plenty of pressure in this fight. He is the ex-WBC Middleweight Champion who had faced Canelo Alvarez and Danny Jacobs. Chavez Sr. had said that Paul could not defeat his son. Chavez had not boxed since 2021, when he beat former UFC fighter Uriah Hall on the Paul vs. Perry undercard last year. Paul upset the odds, as he moves on to bigger things.
