Jarrell Miller And Eddie Hearn ‘Reunite’

Jarrell Miller was pictured with Eddie Hearn, as the pair appear to be on good terms, a turnaround from their prior bad relationship.

Their feud started in 2019 when Miller tested positive for numerous substances, GW1516, HGH, and EPO, which prevented the Anthony Joshua fight. Joshua would face Andy Ruiz Jr., who was a late replacement, as the Mexican stopped him on his American debut in a major upset. Hearn demanded that Miller received a life-time ban. However, the duo seem on good terms, increasing the possibility of an Anthony Joshua fight. Joshua is looking for an opponent following his KO loss to Daniel Dubois last September. Miller and Hearn’s improved relationship only makes that more likely to make a Joshua fight.

“Something big is brewing. God works in mysterious ways. What’s meant for you will always be for you, my mom used to say that. Sometimes what you thought was a blessing could’ve really been a curse. So I take every disappointment as a lesson learned. I’ve had some tough ones, but the Almighty’s got my back; otherwise, I’d have been gone a long time ago. With that being said, big thanks to Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing for the invite. Time to get back to work. Big news is cooking,” Miller said

Implications

The primary benefit of a potential reconciliation is an Anthony Joshua vs. Jarrell Miller fight. It is a massive commercial fight based on the bad blood. This history provides a compelling storyline of revenge that would attract colossal viewership in the UK and US, providing a financial boost to the heavyweight division.

The drawback is the severe damage it would inflict upon boxing’s anti-doping credibility and integrity. Hearn was once one of Miller’s most vocal critics. To now embrace Miller—a repeat offender—for a massive, career payday for Joshua, sends a clear message: commercial viability trumps clean sport ethics. It diminishes the severity of using dangerous PEDs and demoralizes clean athletes who adhere to the rules.
