On Friday, heavyweights Johnny Fisher (13-0, 11 KOs) and Dave Allen (23-7-2, 18 KOs) stepped on the scale to make it official, but when they did, what happened next was shocking and funny.
Allen stepped on the scale with a speedo like underwear on, with what appeared to be pictures of his face all over his underwear. Talk about bringing light to an intense event where you get to size up your opponent one last time before the bell rings on fight night, Allen sprinkled some Tyson Fury-like stunt with the underwear. Those who may not have been aware of the fight will be when that photo and/or video clip goes viral within the next 24 hours. That’s how you bring attention to yourself in the social media era.
Aside from that, Allen weighed in at a career high of 265 pounds while Fisher also came in at a career high of 245.5 pounds. This rematch has shot up in interest, and fans will be locked in when they settle it in the ring on DAZN.
