On Saturday, November 15, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) will unbelievably return to the ring to face Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) after 19 years in retirement. Paul-Tyson will be the main event of the Most Valuable Promotions card, which will stream live across the globe on Netflix. The bout has received criticism in many quarters with it being recognised as a professional contest, despite the 8×2 rounds and Texas State Athletic Commission mandating the use of 14-ounce gloves. In the co-main event, we will see Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) vs. Amanda Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs) II, and speaking to The Guardian, Taylor has paid respect to her opponent but expressed her confidence in winning the undisputed super lightweight battle.
Taylor vs. Serrano looks set to be the main attraction for many watching on November 15. The two legendary fighters will duke it out once again after their 2022 battle at Madison Square Garden. It was a back-and-forth battle which saw Taylor rally late on to win by a split decision with the judge’s scorecards reading 96-94 for Serrano, while the other two judges scored it 96-93 and 97-93 for the Irish fighter. If the rematch is half as good as the first fight, we are in for a treat.
Speaking ahead of the rematch, Taylor said: “She is obviously a great fighter.” She continued: “I love to box but I do get drawn into a fight like this one.”
Looking ahead to the rematch, the Irish fighter said: “Both our mentalities are that we’re going to do whatever it takes to win the fight so it’s going to be another explosive night.”
Taylor then revealed her inner belief: “I’m just excited to go in there and perform because I think my best will beat Serrano’s,” Taylor said.
