Former Welterweight Keith Thurman is set to fight Australia’s Brock Jarvis for their 10 rounds WBA international super welterweight title, on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, at the legendary Hordern Pavilion, Sydney.

The fight nearly happened five days prior, when the two came face to face at the Tony Mundine Gym, on Thursday during open workouts. The fighters had to be separated after a wild confrontation and a fiery exchange of words even as the American came too close and stood over Jarvis whose team had to intervene by whisking him away. “Three days, four days, how about three mothers right now,” said Thurman as he punched the air right next to Jarvis’s face. “Now you are being pathetic,” responded Jarvis.

Keith won the interim WBA welterweight title in 2013 and was promoted to regular champion in 2015. He has not been active in the past three years; his last fight was a 2022 win against Mario Barrios.
