Ex-IBF Welterweight Champion Kell Brook is willing to fight Chris Eubank Jr

Brook’s comments come as he prepares to make his return against Eisa Al Dah in Dubai on April 11. Brook stepped in for the late Ricky Hatton, who was originally slated for the comeback bout before his passing in late 2025. The event, titled “Destiny in the Desert,” will raise funds for the newly established Ricky Hatton Foundation, which focuses on mental health awareness—a cause both Hatton and Brook have championed.

Brooker, who retired after knocking out Amir Khan in 2022, has been linked with a whole host of names for a big fight. Conor Benn, the Errol Spence rematch and now Eubank have been mentioned. However, Brook believes a clash with Eubank Jr. remains the biggest available fight for both men outside of the world-title picture.

Brook’s level of sharpness against Al Dah in April will be the deciding factor for promoters. At 39, he will need to prove he can still compete. Meanwhile, Eubank Jr. is currently regrouping after a medical hiatus following his November 2025 rematch loss to Conor Benn. Eubank has recently campaigned at 160 lbs and is eyeing a move to 168 lbs, while Brook’s best work came at 147 lbs. A catchweight—likely around 158–160 lbs—would be the probable middle ground.

Brook Reacts

“I’d be very interested. If Chris Eubank — ‘cause before, we’ve had history,” Brook said. “He lost his pen when he should’ve been in with Golovkin and he didn’t fancy that. I had to step in. Me and him has been mentioned a few times so, listen, I’ve had back and forth before but if they mean business, if they want it to happen, you know exactly what my fee is, you know what I want. It can happen.

“I’m the biggest fight out there for him. I’ve had fours years out since Amir Khan. If he thinks that he’s still got anything, come test…we could probably come somewhere between middle and super middle[weight], we can agree. All we got to do is phone up, get that conversation rocking and rolling, agree on terms and everything else and we’ve got a fight, 100%,” Brook said
