Keyshawn Davis has moved on from a fight with Devin Haney, stating that his focus is elsewhere.

After weeks of calling Haney out following his 12th-round stoppage of Jamaine Ortiz on January 31, 2026, Davis has officially shifted his focus to a new target: Lamont Roach Jr. In a post on X, Davis addressed the lack of response from the Haney camp before tagging Roach directly. “Since ‘Debo’ scary & never stood on his word, @OneOf1x [Roach Jr.] you tranna fight me?”

For Davis, the shift to Roach is a pragmatic business decision designed to keep his momentum alive at 140 pounds. Lamont Roach Jr. is coming off a 2025 that established him as one of the most durable fighters in the sport. He fought to back-to-back majority draws against Gervonta Davis and Isaac Cruz (December 2025). Many analysts believe Roach should have won both of those fights—citing a missed knockdown call against Tank Davis and a dominant second-half performance against Cruz. The fight could happen, given that Roach wants the biggest fights.

Roach’s Mindset

“We’ve seen with Lamont, he went from 130 to 135 to 140 within three fights. Lamont said it from day one: He’s ready for the big fights. He wants only big fights. He deserves big fights. He’d love to fight Shakur. I think him and Shakur would be an amazing fight. But we need to move on.

“If we can’t get the rematch with Pitbull, then we need to go out and look for a world title fight, whether it’s any of the champions or vacant titles available at 135. Are they going to elevate the interim title or will they do number one against number two for the vacant title? With Tank and his situation, there’s a good possibility that Lamont could fight for the WBA title against Schofield or Lucas Bahdi,” Robert Diaz (Roach’s adviser)
