WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis is making it a family affair when he defends his title against Edwin De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KOs) Saturday night on ESPN.
Davis (13-0, 9 KOs), 26, from Norfolk, VA, will be headlining a card at the Scope Arena that will also host his two brothers (Kelvin & Keon) in separate bouts. Davis was last seen in February when he dominated the former champion Denys Berinchyk and stopped in the fourth round of their fight. Davis is a big draw in Norfolk, so it’s only right that his first title defense is set in his hometown.
De Los Santos is a dangerous fighter but has been inactive, with his last fight being the forgettable one against WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson in November 2023. The 19-month layoff will surely show up on fight night, at least in the beginning, so it will be up to De Los Santos to get warmed up quickly if he wants to have a shot at beating Davis.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Keyshawn Davis is the favorite at -1000, and Edwin De Los Santos is the underdog at +550.
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Abdullah Mason is the favorite at -2500, and Jeremia Nakathila is the underdog at +1000.
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
