Nearly five years after stepping into the ring for one of boxing’s most talked-about exhibition bouts, Logan Paul says he is still waiting to be paid in full.
Speaking candidly about his 2021 showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Paul alleged that the undefeated boxing legend pre-sold the fight to a company in the Middle East for $10 million before the event ultimately took place in the United States under a different promoter. According to Paul, their agreement entitled him to 15% of that pre-sale deal. This cut, he claims, he has never received.
“He pre-sold the fight using my name and likeness,” Paul said. He explained that he later discovered the event had allegedly been sold for $10 million. “Our deal was 15%. Fifteen percent of $10,000,000 is $1,500,000. He smoked me.”

The exhibition bout, held in June 2021, went the distance in an eight-round contest that had no official winner. While it was billed as a spectacle, it generated significant pay-per-view interest and global attention. However, Paul now suggests the business dealings behind the scenes were far more complicated than fans realized.
Paul went on to claim that the company that allegedly paid Mayweather the $10 million upfront is now suing the boxer, further muddying whether he will ever see the $1.5 million he believes he is owed.
“We ended up doing the fight in the U.S. with a different company,” Paul explained. “That’s the company that put on the fight, but he had already sold our fight to someone else for $10M cash.”
Paul added that Mayweather is currently dealing with multiple legal issues. He believes, this makes recovering the disputed funds even less likely. “I don’t think I’m ever getting the money,” Paul admitted.
Mayweather has not publicly responded to the latest claims. The 50-0 boxing champion has previously faced payment disputes related to exhibition events, but has consistently maintained that he fulfils his financial obligations.
For now, the alleged $1.5 million remains a point of contention between the two high-profile figures — another chapter in a rivalry that extended far beyond the ring.
