Mike Tyson's 10-Word Response To Evander Holyfield's Trilogy Challenge

Coming off a loss to Jake Paul in his return to the ring after nearly 20 years off of it, Mike Tyson isn't certainly lacking challengers for his upcoming fight if he decides to keep going.

Fellow boxing legend Evander Holyfield lost no time in jumping on his Instagram account to challenge Tyson for what would be the third fight between the two heavyweights.

Holyfield shared a mock promotional poster with the caption, “The fans want it #unfinishedbusiness.”

Tyson’s response, however, must have certainly upset Holyfield if all the latter, already 62 years old, wanted was an opportunity to complete a three-fight sweep of his yesteryear rival.

Putting a quick end to any and every speculation, Tyson himself commented on Holyfield's own post, delivering a 10-word response to his fellow veteran's challenge.

“I love you brother, but the trilogy is our friendship,” Tyson wrote on IG.

The history between Tyson and Holyfield is one of the most storied in boxing with the latter defeating Tyson twice while they were at the peak of their powers.

Holyfield first defeated Tyson in 1996 via TKO in the 11th round and again in 1997 during the infamous “Bite Fight,” when Tyson was disqualified for biting Holyfield’s ear.

Despite their contentious past, the two have since reconciled, even appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009, where Tyson delivered an apology for his illegal action during their second fight.

While Holyfield seems eager for one more showdown, Tyson appears content with where their shared history has led them and he's already named the man he wants to fight next.
