Pound-for-pound great Naoya Inoue (27-0, 24 KOs) will defend his super bantamweight world titles against the Australian-based Irishman TJ Doheny (26-4, 20 KOs) at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The bout will be shown on ESPN+ for those in the United States and Sky Sports for those in the UK.
The “Monster” was last seen in the ring in May this year, when he defeated Luis Nery by sixth-round TKO. The Japanese star overcame an early knockdown to assert his dominance, overwhelm and stop Nery. Before that, one-sided wins over Stephen Fulton and Marlon Tapales left people wondering can anyone stop the “Monster” becoming undisputed and taking part in fascinating fights against the likes of Junto Nakatani and Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez.
