Ball began the year by losing a split decision in March against WBC champion Rey Vargas in a fight where many observers felt Ball should have been awarded the fight. Ball would get another opportunity three months later against Raymond Ford, and he would be on the right side of a split decision which earned him the WBA title. Now Ball has the opportunity to defend his title in front of a home crowd who will be cheering loudly for the 27-year-old from Liverpool.

The 34-year-old Rios will make his second appearance as a featherweight this year after earning a fifth-round knockout over Nicolas Polanco in April. In what looks to be potentially his final opportunity for a title, Rios will be entering enemy territory on Saturday night with hopes of securing a victory. Can Rios deliver the upset, or will he have to consider retiring after Saturday’s fight?
Per DraftKings Sportsbook, Nick Ball is the favorite at -1100, and Ronny Rios is the underdog at +650.
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
