Featherweight champion Skye Nicolson has withdrawn from her scheduled Aug. 29 bout with Miyo Yoshida after suffering an injury, ESPN reports.
The Australian was set to defend her title against Yoshida on the MVPW-06 card in Birmingham. No details on the nature or severity of the injury have been disclosed.
The promotion has not announced a replacement fight or whether Yoshida will remain on the card against a substitute opponent. Nicolson, who won the WBC featherweight strap earlier this year, had been looking to make her second defence.
MVPW-06 is scheduled for Aug. 29 in Birmingham.
