Coming from a suspension, Connor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) took two months to prepare for the fight to trained at a training camp in Spain on the island of Majorca.
He was joined by his father, other extended family, and his trainer, Tony Sims.
Connor Benn will be facing Eubank Junior (34-3, 25 KOs) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, 26th April, as a chance of redemption in Ring Magazine’s first-ever card in association with SNK Games.
During his training, Connor Benn has named notable fighters he would want to challenge. Benn, who has been fighting at welterweight for most of his career, was not shy to call out the likes of IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull, and his dad tends to think that Scull is no match for his son.
Connor Benn has recently talked about how hard it was for him to come back from the long break he was forced to take after testing positive for PEDs. This did not sit well with some of the boxing fans, as it looks like he is looking for sympathy to win fans over instead of focusing on the matter at hand, which is to give a good performance on the night and get a win if possible.
On the other hand, Nigel Benn, Connor Benn’s father, is very confident after coming from the training camp they had in Spain. Benn Senior does not think that Connor will need to go all the rounds to get a win. Three or four rounds might just be enough for Connor to get the result, according to him.
As Eubank Junior might need the fight to last longer for him to get the win, Benn will need to start with high intensity and hope Eubank Junior does not manage to keep up for him to get the early decision.
