On Saturday, June 28, Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr (54-6-1, 34 KOs) will headline a Most Valuable Promotions card in association with Golden Boy live on DAZN PPV. Both come into this cruiserweight clash having won their previous fights. Many are calling this Paul’s biggest test, and Golden Boy founder and former multi-weight world champion Oscar De La Hoya has appeared on the Ariel X Ade DAZN Boxing Show, sharing his honest opinion on just how far Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) can go.
Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr will headline this MVP/Golden Boy event, while the co-main event will see Golden Boy’s WBO & WBA unified cruiserweight champion Gilberto Ramirez face the former IBF & WBA cruiserweight world champion and the current WBA mandatory challenger Yuniel Dorticós.
Ahead of Paul vs Chavez Jr, De La Hoya revealed just how far he thinks “El Gallo” can go in boxing: “I think [Jake Paul] can win a world title. It’s obviously gonna take time. Let’s say he knocks out Chávez Jr. in the later rounds. It’ll be a huge confidence boost for Jake Paul. It’ll silence a lot of doubters… That next challenge is possibly a top 10 in the world”
