Pirotton On Fisher: 'I'm Supposed To Lose'

Michael Pirotton accepts he enters Saturday's heavyweight main event against Johnny Fisher with the odds stacked against him.

Pirotton, who faces the Englishman at the Copper Box on Zuffa Boxing's first British card, told Sky Sports that being an unknown works in his favor. "Nobody knows about me. That's my only advantage," he said, per Bad Left Hook. "I know I'm supposed to lose. In the scenario I'm supposed to lose that fight."

Pirotton Confident Fisher Can't Stop Him

The Belgian insists Fisher lacks the power to knock him out and plans to exploit that once the bell rings. With all the pressure on his opponent to deliver in front of a home crowd, Pirotton says he'll enter the ring with the real confidence — the kind that comes from having nothing to lose.

He acknowledged his road to this fight has been difficult but promised to celebrate his vindication immediately after the final bell. Fisher, meanwhile, is expected to carry the backing of the Copper Box fans and arrives as the heavy favorite.
