As reported by Larry Brown Sports and YardBarker, Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez have agreed to fight.

According to Julian Julianis of ESPN Deports’, the two boxers have agreed to fight in Las Vegas in September.

Terence Crawford became the undisputed champion after defeating Errol Spence, Jr. to become the first in the four-belt era.

Alvarez previously became the super middleweight in his win against Caleb Plant to clean up the division.

The battle has been long anticipated for some time after Crawford targeted Canelo once he defeated Israil Madrimov.

It has been mentioned that Crawford would have to jump two weight classes to compete at 168 pounds. Jermell Charlo did a similar thing in 2023. Charlo ended up coming up short in that fight by unanimous decision. It was evident that weight class played a part in the outcome.

The Crawford and Canelo fight is being seen as an alternative to Alvarez fighting David Benavidez.

Some have accused Canelo of dodging fighting the ‘Mexican Monster’ who recently moved to the 175-weight class.

Before the two fighters can face off, they must fight their respective opponents before the September match.

There are some interesting dynamics at play when it comes to this matchup.

If Crawford wins, he could go down as one of the greatest fighters in history. He is undefeated. Alvarez is not.

On the flip side, the pressure is on Alvarez to win. The fight will be in his weight class, and the pressure is mounting.

There are varying opinions on whether Alvarez can get the win against Crawford.

“I love Crawford. He’s a good friend. We reach out to each other. We’ve been traveling the world through the amateur program. He saw me beat people up, I saw him beat people up. I think the stories could go on, but when it comes to weight and empowerment, that s—t is rea,” Demetrius Andrade said, “Canelo is a big bad wolf who can run the whole night. I think Crawford has the skills, but when it comes to Saul getting shots and blocking his power shots, Canelo knows how to move, too. He has agility, not like a robot. I mean, it’s gonna be tough. I don’t think Crawford can beat Canelo. But I still think he can give him a good fight. And I’ll be sitting there fuming for Canelo all day.”

Boxing fans anticipate this to be one of the year’s biggest events. It will be interesting to see if the stars align for the fight.
