Craig Richards will fight Radivoje Kalajdzic on Sept. 26 at the Copper Box Arena as part of Zuffa Boxing 11, with the light heavyweight bout serving as chief support to Johnny Fisher's main event.
Richards, who stopped Dan Azeez last December, told Sky Sports he views the matchup as a stepping stone toward a world title opportunity. "Everyone knows Kalajdzic can punch, I can punch, we've both been two fighters who haven't shied away from competition," he said. "We've been in with everyone, we've mixed it, we both probably want to push on now towards that world title."
Kalajdzic enters the bout off a February stoppage of Oleksandr Gvozdyk and carries a 30-3 record with 22 knockouts. Richards, 20-4-1 with 13 stoppages, last competed in Ghana where he handed Azeez his first professional loss.
The card will also feature Lee Cutler against Louis Greene, per Bad Left Hook. Cutler scored a technical knockout over Aaron Sutton in June while Greene took a decision over Daniel Buciuc in a six-rounder last weekend.
Zuffa Boxing 11 takes place Sept. 26 at the Copper Box Arena in London.
