Saturday night, boxing returns to the Theater Madison Square Garden in NYC as the IBF junior welterweight title will be at stake live on DAZN.
The Brooklyn-born, undefeated IBF champion Richardson Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) will be defending his title against former unified lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr. (22-3, 10 KOs). The co-main will be an IBF lightweight final eliminator as Andy Cruz (5-0, 2 KOs) will face Hironori Mishiro (17-1-1, 6 KOs) for the right to face newly elevated champion Raymon Muratalla.
The Hitchins-Kambosos Jr. fight has been brewing on social media for the last few months, and they will finally settle the score. Will we see a next-level Hitchins now that he is a champion, or will the veteran Kambosos be too much for him to handle?
(Editor’s note: It appears, according to The Boxing Voice, that Ernesto ‘Tito’ Mercado was forced to withdraw from this card due to an injury. FightsATW will follow-up if any additional details are released.)
Per DraftKings SportsBook, Richardson Hitchins is the favorite at -1400, and George Kambosos Jr. is the underdog at +700.
Richardson Hitchins: TKO/KO +250; Decision -220
Draw: +1600
George Kambosos Jr.: TKO/KO +1200; Decision +1800
These timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
