On May 3, in Riyadh, Turki Alalshikh officially announced Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford for September 12 at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas. This announcement came in the ring immediately after Canelo’s underwhelming victory over William Scull to become the two-time undisputed super middleweight champion. Rolly Romero has since spoken to Fight Hub TV, offering his brutally honest thoughts on the September clash.

Canelo vs Crawford: Rolly Romero’s Blunt Reaction

Romero Delivers Brutal Honestly

Since Alvarez signed his historic four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, the fight against Crawford was expected. Many in the boxing world have their opinions on this huge fight – and when speaking to Fight Hub TV, Romero was not shy in delivering a brutal tirade aimed at Alvarez: “F**k Canelo! I hope Crawford beats the s**t out of him,” said Romero.

Romero continued: “No, I’ll tell you like this man. I mean, the weight division thing, you know, but I hope Crawford beats the s**t out of him.”

When asked why he wants “Bud” to win, he said: “I just hope Crawford beats the s**t out of him.”

When pressed again to explain that thought, “What Canelo did on that day was disrespectful to boxing. It was just simply disrespectful to boxing in every way. F**k Canelo,” added Rolly.

September 12 Mega-Fight

As September 12 approaches, this fight will become the main talking point in the boxing world. Although Crawford will be moving up significantly in weight, he’s an exceptional switch-hitter and counter-puncher. His ability to punch hard from varying angles will pose problems for his Mexican opponent.

The Mexican is a defensive master and a phenomenal body puncher. Despite not being the mover he once was, he will provide a daunting test for Terence Crawford. September 12 looks set to be full of intrigue and excitement.
