Gushing over the performance of Terence Crawford in his title coronation over the weekend, legendary star Roy Jones Jr. envisions only one outcome in the career of the Omaha star.

Making his super middleweight limit debut over the weekend, Terence Crawford turned in a stellar unanimous decision win over Canelo Alvarez to snatch the undisputed crown at the first time of asking.

And upsetting the apple cart at 168lbs with the victory, Nebraska star Crawford has already been linked with a host of matches.

But according to former world champion Roy Jones Jr., all comers are already up against the odds against the unbeaten Crawford.

Roy Jones Jr. tips Terence Crawford for unbeaten career

Himself enjoying a stunning 34-fight unbeaten run to begin his career in the ring, Jones Jr. came unstuck for the first time in a controversial disqualification defeat against Montell Griffin in 1997.

However, as far as the Pensacola native is concerned, Crawford is destined to join the exclusive list containing both Floyd Mayweather and the late Rocky Marciano by the time his career is over — boasting an unbeaten pro record.

“No, nobody is gonna beat him (Crawford),” Jones Jr. told Boxing King Media. “Nobody is gonna beat him.

“The fact that he has fought on both sides — he’s a winner at heart,” Jones Jr. explained. “His heart is everything. …But if I were ‘Bud’, I would just retire. Who’s gonna top — who’s gonna top what he just did?”

However, Jones Jr.’s decision to urge Crawford into retirement follows recent remarks from an iconic head coach.

Abel Sanchez also urges Terence Crawford to hang up his gloves

Linked with some high-profile fights next, including an immediate rematch with Canelo as well as a showdown with former interim WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez, Crawford’s future remains up in the air.

And whether or not he plans to stay at super middleweight or return to his former stomping grounds at welterweight, Crawford has been urged to strongly consider his future by veteran coach Abel Sanchez.
